"Open-Eye"

"Open-Eye " - a Perfect Abiding as Consciousness (Siva) and Its own Love-Bliss (Shakti) in the face of all arising conditions. There is no higher Realization.

SHIVA~SHAKTI IS WITNESS OF ATTENTION

You Are the actionless and formless, and thought-free mere Witness of attention itself, and of every apparent "object" of attention and of any and every state of "experience", and of the entirety of whatever and All that arises.

Shiva-Shakti is not a tradition. It is God. She appears as She, and He appears as He, and the Reality of Existence is Not-Two, but One. And You in Your own Form and Passion Are the Prior Incarnation of that Unity.

Reality is always Already the case. "Experience" (point of view) is Time Bound. What you Are is Infinite and Prior to any "point of view" Experience. You Are the Prior Witness (Outshining) of Attention("experience") Itself.

SELF ABIDING WITNESS OF ATTENTION "EXPERIENCE"

The inherent happiness that is Realized by Self-Abiding merely as the Self-Awareness of Consciousness itself is limitless, ultimate, and perfect Bliss. That Bliss Consciousness is the inherently actionless Supreme Reality. Tell me, how could any intelligent person not rejoice in this Truth Revelation of Reality itself?

Merely by Self-Abiding as That Which is all-pervading, prior to mind--prior to all objects, all forms, all others, and all knowledge of the world--the any made thus wise by final knowing attains perfect true liberation, utterly without efforts of seeking.

"POINT OF VIEW" ATTENTION "EXPERIENCE"

The arising of any "point of view" in space self-manifests an inherent characteristic of association with active differentiated energy, moving out toward (or in and throughout) space. That energy is what is traditionally called "Shakti" (or "Spirit). The entire cosmic universe is lighted by that energy--the cosmic shine of Shakti (or of Spirit) everywhere. The "point of view" (or ego- "I") in space proceeds by thought alone--that modifies the energy of its regard (and its arisings of desire and seeking) in the everywhere of space. Thus, both form and time arise by means of thoughts of ego-"I" in space--and even the cosmic universe is merely thought's own Spirit-fabrications, made by self contraction to a "point of view" in space. Therefore, the state that is inherently free of "point of view" --of ego-"I", if thought, of space, of time, of form, of cosmic universe at all, and all the Spirit-motions fabricating universal Shakti's seeming everywhere--is the final knowing to be Realized.

FINAL NOT "KNOWING" IS NOT METHOD OR TECHNIQUE

One who is rightly and truly prepared to practice the Way of final knowing, and who is (thus and thereby) given over to the Reality of perfect true liberation, need not (and should not) any longer practice psycho-physically activated (or conditional) Yogic methods if breath-control, concentration, meditation, and contemplative absorption.

WITNESS CONSCIOUSNESS IS NOT "EXPERIENCE"

For those whose minds are in perpetual motion in and among and within the space and time and objects of their "point of view"--there is no end to the arising of conditions and bondage. Therefore know this: There is no suffering in any kind of world, for one in whom the wandering mind is turned about, upon its Source, and, thereby, vanished in the one and Self-Evident State that is Consciousness itself--always prior to the world, body, mind, and ego-"I" (or "point of view).

In the native Self-Condition of Consciousness itself, conditional and objective phenomena are inherently non-existent and not known. Therefore--in Consciousness itself--actions, causation, effects, theories about "Reality", single anything, multiple anythings, duality, even the world itself, and even individuals livng in bondage to the world are all without existence--and, indeed, they are not known at all.

WITNESS SOURCE IS PRIOR TO BODY MIND "EXPERIENCE"

The modes of self-discipline and of virtue that constitute right life are traditionally prescribed, for all seekers--in order to prepare them for the ultimate practice, which is the Way of final knowing. Now that you have achieved maturity of preparation, you should renounce your merely preparatory practices, which are all based upon the need for counter-effect, to actively transcend the previously acquired ego-habit of turning outward, into the space of the world. Therefore, you should relinquish your Yogic practices of meditation--that direct (and thereby, support) the mind (via prayers, mantras, and inwardly perceived phenomenal conditions) toward mere ideas, or toward otherwise conditionally perceived forms within, and, altogether, toward the conceptual and perceptual myth of "God". Instead of such beginner's practices, you should practice constant turning, away from body and mind, and (thus and thereby) toward and to Self-Abiding as the intrinsic State (or mere Self-Awareness) of Consciousness itself.

NO "POINT OF VIEW"

The mind of "point of view" is restless in its seeming space of time--like a monkey on the inside of a human head. If the monkey is disciplined form all its wandering, and, at last, is held firm in the non-conditional Space of Consciousness itself--perfect true liberation is immediately (and inherently) achieved.

WITNESS OF ATTENTION "EXPERIENCE"

The intrinsically Self-Evident Self-Awareness of Consciousness itself is the one, indivisible, non-dual Reality that is underlying and pervading the cosmic totality--prior to the body, and prior to the mind.

WITNESS IS INFINITE PRIOR TO "EXPERIENCE"

Understand this: Perfect true liberation requires the transcending of all conditional states--all of desire, all seeking, all illusions, all "mystical swooning", even all of waking, all of dreaming, and all of sleeping, too.

BE THE WITNESS OF ATTENTION "EXPERIENCE" ARISING

If the Self-Radiance (or Transcendental Shakti, or intrinsic and inherently perfect Spirit-energy) of Self-existing Consciousness (itself) is distinguished (or purified and released) from apparent association with the gross body, the thinking mind, the active intelligence, and the very "point of view" that is the ego-"I" --then inherent identification with Self-existing and Self-radiant Consciossness itself is (thus and thereby) achieved.

NOT KUNDALINI OR MEDITATION "EXPERIENCE"

In the practice of the Way of final knowing, Yogic meditation on the spinal "kundalini chakras" and the energy centers in the brain is to be entirely relinquished. All such psycho-physical (or merely conditional) Yogic meditations merely fuel (and, thereby, support) the mind with objects--whereas the practice of the Way of final knowing requires the perfect deprivation of the mind, by turning it from all possible objects (both internal and external).

TRANSCENDENTAL "SEAT" OF THE HEART IS NO "PATH"

Having renounced all the object-oriented paths of desire and seeking, be established firmly in the primary "location"--the Transcendental Seat of the heart, prior to the mind. Then (or on that underlying foundation), persist in the fundamental practice of the Way of final knowing--there, at heart. Do this until the self-existing and Self-radiant Self-Awareness of Consciousness itself Shines heart-Awake, with immense fullness and lucidity.

WITNESS "POSITION" IS NOT A "STATE" OR "EXPERIENCE"

All that is apparently objective--whether by perception or conception--is, as such, not-self. All objects, all that is objectified, or defined by relatedness, or apparent as an "other", and, indeed, all knowing of objects, others, or relations of any kind--including any and every kind of "God" - Other, or any and every kind of objectified "gods", or any and every kind of objectified "goddesses", and even any and every kind of purposive or goal-oriented activity, directed toward the fulfillment of any and every kind of search at all--all of that becomes only more bondage, attachment, illusion, and suffering. Only Self-Realization, be Self-Abiding as That Which is intrinsically Self-Evident as the true and very self--or as That Which always already Stands in the Self-Position, and as the intrinsically Self-Evident Self-Condition, prior to any and all possible objectification or otherness or relatedness--is perfect true liberation from all bondage.

THE HEART IS THE "KEY" TO AWAKENING "NO EXPERIENCE"

All possible objects are characterized experientially, by polar oppositions of positive and negative qualities--"yes" amd "no", pleasurable and painful, good and bad, gain and loss, and so on. When all polarized "pairs" (or opposites) are transcended, the Truth of Reality is finally known. The Realizer of such final knowing is a perfect Yogi--truly liberated from all bondage.

BONDAGE TO OBJECTS OR "OTHERS" DISSOLVE AS "ONE"

Therefore, finally renounce and transcend all of your bondage to objects, others, and dualities--by practicing the exercise of final knowing, which is perfect devotional yielding to the State of non-different Self-Identification with inherently actionless, inherently non-conditional, and inherently egoless Consciousness.

In the right practice of the Way (or exercise) of final knowing, you must forget (or cease to be concerned about) all that otherwise defines you in the world--such as your nationality, your politics, your status in community, your business, your family, your intimate relatedness, or, as the case may be, your status as a renunciate. The only practice relevant to the Way (or exercise) of final knowing is that of yielding to the State of non-different Self-Identification with the intrinsically Self-Evident Self-Condition of Consciousness itself.

I AM CONSCIOUSNESS

ALL PERVADING PRIOR TO "EXPERIENCE"

"I am Consciousness itself. I am Consciousness-only. I am inherently relationless--neither owned nor owning. I am one and only." Such is the inherent heart-affirmation to be tacticly exercised and intrinsically Realized.

The instant the heart Realizes and affirms: "I am the one, and only, and all-pervading, and inherently formless, and perfectly non-conditional Self-Condition--intrinsically Self-Evident as Consciousness itself", all bondage to desire and seeking vanishes, and perfect true liberation is achieved.

BONDAGE TO DESIRE AND SEEKING "EXPERIENCE" VANISHES

Thus, the heart Realizes and affirms: "I am the one, and only, and all-pervading, and inherently formless, and perfectly non-conditional Self-Condition--intrinsically Self-Evident as Consciousness itself. Of This, there is no doubt in me.

I am That Which is worshipped by all who practice conventional (or merely exoteric) religion. I am That Which is the Subject That is celebrated in all religious ceremonies, and by means of all the religious kinds of sacrifices, and acts of penance, and good works. All who worship only worship That Which I am--even though they "think" to worship That by many and various 'Divine Names', and via many and various 'Divine Forms', and on the basis of many and various 'Divine Myths'.

NO RELIGION NO RULES NO MYTHS

NO "KNOWING" ANY "THING"

Therefore, conventional religious observances are not for those who practice the Way of final knowing. Religious piety, prayers, the study of Scriptural texts intended for beginners, programs of invocation, and of repetitions of sacred words, and of deity-worship, pilgrimages, sacred paraphenalia, and merely formalistic rules of all kinds--no such practices, or rules, or associations have further use, when the Way of final knowing is truly and rightly exercised.

One who truly and rightly practices the Way of final knowing-only does not engage in activities for the purpose of causing any results that might be presumed to have relevance to either final knowing or perfect true liberation. The specific practice of the Way of final knowing involves no conditional exercises, no purposive acts, no modes of conduct that are intended to produce results, or to achieve benefits or merits, of any kind at all.

"AS IS" ORDINARY UNFOLDING MOMENT - TO - MOMENT

If anyone enters the Way of final knowing having already acquired supernormal powers or demonstrably unique psychic abilities, all seeking to persist in the exercise of those powers or abilities should be relinquished--and all mental attachment to the supernormal and psychic demonstrations of the "secrets of cosmic nature" should be renounced.

"EXPERIENCE" IS TIME BOUND FREEDOM IS FREE

All exercises of supernormal powers and unique psychic abilities are merely more "advanced" forms of indulgence in purposive activity--or seeking toward results and goals. Therefore, all such activities--like even all more ordinary modes of seeking activity--merely lead to more bondage, and to the general intensification of egoity, and even to low-mindedness. The Reality-Joy of perfect true liberation is not in any action, or in any seeking, or in any results, or in any goals at all--but only in perfect Self-Abiding as the inherently perfect State of Self-existing and Self-radiant Consciousness itself.

WITNESS "MIND" WATCHING ITSELF ARISING

The true Self-Realized Sage--who always Self-Abides as the intrinsic Self-Condition of Self-existing and Self-radiant Consciousness itself--should always be approached, with true devotion, for Blessing-Grace. Those who do this (and who remain constantly turned toward the Sage--worshipping the Sage with all the faculties of the body-mind) are Given the many Gifts of right instruction--and, in due course, they are Spiritually and Divinely Blessed with the heart-Transmission of the perfectly Self-Abiding State of Transcendental Self Awakening. This is a Great Secret, fully understood and most truly valued only by true (and most mature) devotess.

END OF SEEKING "EXPERIENCE" FOR FULFILLMENT

The Devikalottara is and Upagama, a supplemental text associated with the Vatulagama, one of the twenty-eight Sanskrit works in the Saiva Siddanta tradition written in the period leading up to the turn of the common era. These texts form some of the earliest expositions of Saiva religious doctrine and practice, and remain influential today in South Indian Saivism. The Devikalottara, also known as Caturvimsatisahasrakalottara ("the Kalottara in 24,000 verses") is one of many recensions of the Kalottara (or Kalajnana) Upagama, which was likely appended in its parent Vatulagama test during the first millennium CE. The text is presented in the form of a dialoque between Devi and Siva, and is known in Tamil as well as in Sanskrit.

Grace

Grace itself is that true self. What we need to know is, to experience that it is there. The Sun is just a form of light only. There is no darkness to that Sun. But When Sunrises in the morning, we conclude that the darkness is gone with the Sunlight. It is not Sunrise that removed the darkness; it is the rotation of earth from darkness to sunlight. Similarly a disciple will conclude that, due to Guru's Grace only, his veils of ignorance are removed. But it is not Guru who has removed your ignorance it is You who turned from darkness to sunlight. Even though your surroundings are filled with sunlight, for experiencing that you need to turn towards it by going in the right direction. It means you need to turn towards that true self. A Guru will guide you in reaching out to that true self. What is existing is only ONE. That is the true self only. As you don't know that, you are feeling that there is a physical world around you. You will also imagine that there is some other spiritual world is in existence. ~ Sri Ramana Maharshi.
